Integrated Management System certified

The Integrated Management System of Umicore Galvanotechnik GmbH has been certified by the TÜV Rheinland Group. This system combines the three areas quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety management. Extensive preliminary work was carried out in the past fiscal year 2009. The auditors have confirmed the staff’s high degree of understanding of their responsibilities towards customers, environment and themselves. By the consequent checking and improving of existing processes, sustainable improvements in efficiency and quality have been and will be reached. Since the introduction of CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) in the middle of 2006, more than 4,000 measures have been defined and implemented.
